Refund policy


We want you to love your 23rd August piece.
If for any reason it isn’t quite right, we offer a 14-day return policy from the date you receive your order.

EOFY SALE ITEMS ARE FINAL SALE.

Items purchased during our EOFY Sale cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded unless deemed faulty under Australian Consumer Law.


Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

  • In the same condition that you received it

  • Unworn or unused

  • With all original tags attached

  • In its original packaging

Please ensure you have your order confirmation or proof of purchase available.

Return Shipping Costs

For change of mind, sizing, or pre-order cancellations, the cost of express shipping will be deducted from your refund.

If your item is faulty, incorrect, or arrives damaged, 23rd August will cover the return shipping cost.

Please note that items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.


Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.
The fastest way to secure your preferred size or style is to place a new order once your return has been approved and refunded.


Pre-Orders

Pre-order items can be returned for a refund; however, the express shipping fee will be deducted from your refund amount.
We appreciate your understanding as these pieces are made to order in limited quantities.


Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll notify you by email.
If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.
Please note your bank or card provider may take additional time to complete the transaction.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved, please contact us at info@23rd-august.com.


Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us immediately if your item is defective, damaged, or incorrect — we’ll make it right as quickly as possible.


Non-Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns on:

  • Sale items

  • Gift cards

  • Custom or personalized orders

  • Intimates or items worn next to skin


European Union Customers

If your order is shipped into the European Union, you have a 14-day cooling-off period during which you may return your order for any reason.
Items must remain unworn and in their original packaging.
